Third in a three-part series: it’s a given that the Milkshake Drinking phenomenon is - or should be - in its death throes by now, but we’ll take it to its inevitable, bastardized end here, concluding the There Will Be Blood Meets Teenaged Role Playing Card Battle Tournament (TWBBMTRPCBT for short) with There Will Be Pokemon.

There’s no clear winner here - for what Pokemon has over its rivals in production value, attention to detail, and adapted screenplay - it lacks the fresh-faced spontaneity of also-ran copycat There Will Be Yu-Gi-Oh and the twist-of-the-tripod, one-take boldness of third generation remake there will be yugioh. Catch them all, you will.

This is an instance where it’s nice to have a Tumblr blog because there’s this short behind the scenes teaser for Tokyo! and Michel Gondry is one of the three participating directors (with Joon-ho Bong and Leos Carax) and people really seem to like Michel Gondry and even if it’s just a few people and even if there’s not much to this video those people are important too and thus this short but boring video is for them.
